How It Works

1. Book Your Appointment:
   • Schedule an appointment at the appropriate Embassy, Consulate General, or Honorary Consul’s office.
2. Prepare Your Documents:
   • Use our detailed checklist to gather all required documents.
3. Attend Your Appointment:
   • Present yourself in person for identification, biometric data capture, and document verification.
4. Processing & Delivery:
   • Your application is processed by the relevant authorities. Once approved, your new passport or ID card is sent to you by courier.
5. Ongoing Support:
   • We provide continuous support and updates throughout the process.

Documents Required

A. Mandatory Documents for All Applicants:

• Completed Passport Application Form: Signed by the applicant.
• Two Recent Passport-Sized Photos: Must meet ICAO specifications:
  • Size: 35mm x 45mm
  • White background, no reflections or shadows
  • Neutral expression, no headwear (except for religious purposes)
• Current or Expired Greek Passport (if available):
  • If no valid passport is available, the applicant must bring a Greek adult witness who can confirm their identity.
• Valid Greek Police Identity Card (if applicable):
  • Must display Latin characters as per ELOT 743 (ISO 843).
• Proof of UK Residency:
  • UK eVisa printout from UKVI with a valid share code. or utility bill confirming your UK address.
• Administrative Fee: As prescribed by the Greek Consular Authority.

B. Additional Documents for Minors (Under 18):

• Birth Certificate (original and copy).
• Parental Consent Form:
  • Must be signed by both parents and certified by the Consulate.
  • If one parent is absent, provide legal documentation of parental rights.
• Parents’ Passports/Greek IDs (original and copy).

Important Information

Application Processing Time:
Applications are typically processed within 4-6 weeks from the date of document submission.

New Validity Period (Effective 1st September 2022):

• Adult Passports and Minors aged 14 and above: Valid for 10 years instead of 5 years.
• Administrative fees remain unchanged despite the extended validity period.

Latin Spelling of Greek Names:

• Greek names and surnames are written in Latin characters according to the ELOT 743 (ISO 843) standard.
• Verify how your name will appear on your passport before submitting your application.

Location-Specific Guidelines:

Residents of the following regions must contact the Consulate General in Manchester for passport services:

• North East England, North West England, Yorkshire, East Midlands, West Midlands, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
